摘 要:社会服务既是高校自身持续发展壮大的内在需求,也是提高我国高等教育整体水平的基础,更是促进社会经济发展的客观要求。随着区域经济的快速发展,社会对高校教师的社会服务能力也提出迫切要求。以湖南人文科技学院外国语学院英语教师为例,分析地方高校教师社会服务能力现状,发现在社会服务工作中,教师存在意识不到位、能力欠缺、平台不足、团队建设力度薄弱等一系列问题。对此,可通过增强社会服务责任感、采取合理有效的激励机制、拓展社会平台、加强团队合作等途径,促进教师社会服务能力的提升。Social services are the key to driving continuous growth of universities, enhancing the quality of higher education, and promoting social and economic development in China. Nowadays, with rapid development of regional economy, there is an urgent demand for stronger social service ability of college teachers. However, when it comes to cultivating such ability, local universities are faced with such shortcomings as weak service awareness and ability of teachers, no appropriate platforms and small efforts made to team building. The article, based on a case study of English teachers at the School of Foreign Studies, Hunan University of Humanities, Science and Technology, surveys and analyzes current social service ability of teachers at local universities, and discusses how to enhance their service ability through enhancing sense of social service responsibility among teachers, adopting effective incentive mechanism, establishing service platforms, and strengthening team cooperation.
