摘　　要：《吟边燕语》是近代著名翻译家林纾的译作,其原作是查尔斯•兰姆的《莎士比亚戏剧故事集》。《吟边燕语》在当时取得了空前的商业成功,大力推动莎士比亚戏剧在中国的早期传播,为近代中国莎剧的翻译提供了研究案例。结合当时的出版情况,《吟边燕语》能成为莎士比亚在中国早期最成功的译作,主要得益于文本中“本土化”与“商业化”的翻译策略。林纾采用相对灵活的文言翻译,将传统的“礼”“孝”观念置入译作中,并通过“潜文本”和传统叙事的加入,使莎士比亚戏剧在近代中国获得文化接受与商业成功。YinbianYanyu translated by Lin Shu is famous in modern literature history.Its original works is Tales from Shakespeare by Charles Lamb.The commercial success of YinbianYanyu greatly promoted the early spread of Shakespeare's plays in China.It provides a study case for the translation of Shakespeare Play in modern China.YinbianYanyu can be the most successful translation of Shakespeare in early China,mainly due to the translation strategies of"localization"and"commercialization"in the text.Lin Shu translated original works into classical Chinese and put the concepts of"Confucian rites"and"filial piety"into it.Through the"potential text"and traditional narrative by Lin Shu,Shakespeare's drama gained cultural acceptance and commercial success in modern China.
