摘　　要：非线性科学是当代科学发展的主要前沿之一。由此得到的地震震级-周期公式预报的地震,不断被证实。非线性引力波的预言也被证实。球形闪电是大自然中一个未解之谜。由非线性电磁场、非线性光学、一般的非线性电磁相互作用及其他非线性方程可以定量导出三维非线性波的电磁孤子模型,进而由此推测球形闪电应该是电磁孤子的特例。Nonlinear science is one of the main frontiers of contemporary scientific development.The earthquakes predicted by the magnitude-period formula have been continuously confirmed.Some predictions of nonlinear gravitational waves have also been confirmed.Ball lightning is an unknown puzzle in Nature.The electromagnetic soliton model of the three dimensional nonlinear wave is derived quantitatively from the nonlinear electromagnetic field,nonlinear optics,general nonlinear electromagnetic interaction and other nonlinear equation.Further,from this it is conjectured that ball lightning should be a special example of the electromagnetic soliton.
