摘 要:20世纪初叶,苏格兰诗人罗伯特·彭斯进入中国读者的视野。自那时起,他的诗歌便广泛受到评论家和译者的青睐。时至今日,彭斯诗歌的中译与中国语境下的社会变迁和审美变化交相呼应。无论是对苏格兰风景的书写,还是对苏格兰民族身份和文化的呈现与表达,彭斯诗歌的中译都展现出了诗歌本身所蕴含的苏格兰性。从20世纪初到如今,中国学界对苏格兰性的认知形塑了彭斯诗歌在中国的翻译与研究。彭斯诗歌的中译将中国本土文化元素融合进苏格兰诗歌的翻译,成为值得深思的文化交流样本。Scottish poet Robert Burns’works were introduced to Chinese readers in the beginning of the 20th century,and his poems have been widely valued by critics and translators ever since.In the progress of over a century,the translation of Burns’poetry has registered the social development and the transformation of aesthetics in the Chinese context.Whether focusing on Scottish landscape or promoting its national identity and culture,the Chinese versions demonstrate the Scottish characteristics of Burns’poetry.From the early 20th century to the present,the understanding of Scottishness in Chinese academia has influenced the translation of and research on Burns’poetry in China.Integrating Chinese native cultural elements into the Scottish poems,the Chinese versions of Burns’poetry become thought-provoking examples of cross-cultural communication.
