摘　　要：Otsu法是图像阈值分割中的经典方法之一。Otsu法在图像直方图具有双峰或近似双峰时,分割效果良好,但该方法对具有小目标特征的缺陷图像的分割效果较差。为了克服Otsu法的这一不足,Ng将直方图的谷点信息引入Otsu法的目标函数中,提出了谷点强调法。之后,很多学者在谷点强调法的基础上,提出了新的表述。谷点强调法对于图像阈值分割尤为重要,因此,对谷点强调法以及相关改进进行综述,为后续研究和应用提供参考。Otsu method is one of the classical methods in image threshold segmentation.Otsu method has good segmentation effect when the image histogram has bimodal or approximate bimodal peaks,but it has poor segmentation effect on defect images with small target characteristics.In order to overcome this shortcoming of Otsu,Ng introduced the valley information of histogram into the objective function of Otsu method,and proposed the valley-emphasis method.Later,many scholars put forward new expressions on the basis of valley-emphasis method.Valley-emphasis method plays an important role in image thresholding segmentation,therefore the valley-emphasis method and related improvements are summarized to provide reference for the follow-up research and applications.
