摘 要:考察近三年来汉语流行语的语言特征与社会特征,对比分析《人民网(日文版)》《人民中国》《中国网(日本版)》对流行语的不同译法。在这一基础上,以“功能对等”理论为指导,挖掘适用于不同类别流行语的日译策略。汉语流行语的日译策略包括直译、直译+注释、意译、归化、回译五种。直译法适用于政治、科技、经济领域的流行语。直译+注释法和意译法适用于娱乐与社会生活领域一些具有丰富内涵的流行语。归化译法适用于目的语中有相同指示对象的流行语。回译法适用于源于外来词汇的流行语。This paper investigated the linguistic and social features of Chinese catchwords in the past three years,compared and analyzed the different translation methods of catchwords in j.people.cn,people’s China and China.org.cn.On this basis,guided by the theory of“functional equivalence”,this paper explored the Japanese translation strategies suitable for different categories of catchwords.The Japanese translation strategies of Chinese catchwords include literal translation,literal translation+annotation,free translation,domestication translation,and back translation.Literal translation is applicable to popular words in the fields of politics,science and technology and economy.Literal translation+annotation and free translation are suitable for some popular words with rich connotations in the field of entertainment and social life.Domestication translation is suitable for catchwords with the same referent in the target language.The back-translation method is applicable to catchwords originated from foreign words.
