摘  要:肯尼斯·雷克斯罗斯(中文名字“王红公”)是一位具有浓厚中国文化色彩的美国诗人、译者,在20世纪中叶为中国古典诗词在美国的翻译传播作出了突出贡献,其作品也对当时美国“垮掉派”的诗歌创作颇有影响。雷克斯罗斯对中国古典诗词文化的理解与传递主要依靠他对诗词内在精神实质的把握。中国古典诗词善于通过具体意象营造“诗境”,所以他在翻译实践中始终遵循一种“中国式法则”,即通过具体意象的塑造来展现诗词想要表达的意境和情感。虽然中西文化语境的不同使雷克斯罗斯在译诗中会有意象的叛逆与重新塑造,但其译作仍然保持与原诗词精神内涵的高度一致性.Kenneth Rexroth(Chinese name“Wang Honggong”)is an American poet and translator who knows lavish Chinese culture.In the mid-20th century,he made excellent contributions to the translation and dissemination of Chinese classical poetry in the United States.His works also had a con-siderable impact on the poetry creation of the American Beat Generation at that time.Rexroth's understanding and transmission of Chinese classical poetry culture mainly relies on his grasp of the inner spiritual essence of poetry.Chinese classical poetry is good at creating“poetic situation” through concrete images,so he always followed the“Chinese rule”in his translation practice,that means,to express the artistic conception and emotion which the poetry wants to express through the creating of concrete images.Although the differences between Chinese and Western cultural contexts make Rexroth rebel and reshape images in his translated poems,his translation poems still maintain a high degree of consistency with the spiritual connotation of the original poems.
