从功能对等理论视角探析英文字幕的翻译策略--以《建党伟业》为例

摘　　要：电影字幕翻译在对外传播中起重要作用,电影《建党伟业》的字幕英译就十分成功。字幕翻译的要求与功能对等理论的内涵基本一致。从功能对等理论视角探析字幕翻译所采用的缩减策略、归化策略、异化策略、直译策略和意译策略以及这些翻译策略帮助观众理解影片内容和文化的积极作用,以期为影视字幕翻译提供借鉴,促进我国电影字幕翻译进步。The subtitling translation contributes a lot to worldwide spread of Chinese films. The English subtitling translation in the Chinese film Beginning of the Great Revival is very successful. The requirements of subtitling translation are consistent with the connotation of functional equivalence theory. This paper explores the translation strategies from the perspective of functional equivalence theory, analyses the strategies of condensation, domestication, foreignization, literal translation and free translation to provide reference for English subtitling translation.
