摘 要:我们知道,生成于中华文明而以“华夷一体”为终极指向的中国华夷思想或华夷秩序观,虽然有其一定的历史局限性,但作为一种世界秩序观和政治文化理念,其为东亚文明的发展和前近代东亚世界秩序的构建做出了积极贡献,也是毋庸置疑的。而“明清易代”后基于日本中心论而构建的“日本型华夷观”,则是借用“华夷之辩”的思维模式建构日本国家认同和文化民族主义,不仅为其近代以降国粹主义的兴盛、对外侵略扩张以及民族主义“生生不息”提供了重要的思想资源,而且成为自“华夷秩序”解体后东亚区域秩序至今未能构建的一个不可忽视的思想原因。Dr.Gao Wei’s monograph The Hua-Yi Thought and the Self/Other Perception in Edo-era Japanese Native Learning Scholars(published by Social Sciences Academic Press in October 2018)traces the trajectory of Japanese-style“Hua-Yi”thought,expounding the ideological content and inclination of its discourse.The monograph not only shed light on the distinction between China’s“Hua-Yi”thought and that of Japan,but also clarifies its essence and historical implications.This study is very inspiring for discussing upon the intellectual origin of Japanese cultural nationalism and its impact on the involved conflicts in the East Asia.Moreover,it also provides insights in considering how to reconstruct the worldview of East Asia.When comparing the Chinese“Hua-Yi”thought and its variation in Japan,further investigation into their respective influences is also expected,especially on the historical role and practical significance of constructing East Asian regional order.
