On the Communication Mode of Chinese Culture in Chinese American Literature

摘　　要：中国文化在美国华裔文学中的传播模式可从总体传播趋势与具体作品传播两个方面进行分析,前者符合符号学规律,必然经历原生文化符号层和意义层相分离,再与新时空语境相结合的过程;后者可用马莱兹克的大众传播过程模型来分析,受传播者、讯息和接收者三个关键因素的影响。第四代美国华裔作家邝丽莎《雪花秘扇》的文化传播过程表明,文化系统中的符号层信息更容易被准确传递,而意义层信息则难以达到相互理解。The communication mode of Chinese culture in Chinese American literature can be approached from two aspects:the overall communication trend and the communication process of specific works.The former follows the laws of semiotics,which inevitably goes through the separation of original culture’symbol-meaning system,and the recombination of it with the new space-time context.The latter can be analyzed with Malezke’s model of mass communication,which is affected by communicator,message and recipient.The culture communication process of Snow Flower and the Secret Fan,written by the fourth-generation Chinese American writer Lisa See,indicates that the symbol part of culture system is easier to be transmitted accurately,while the meaning part is difficult to be understood mutually.
