“畏爱”成词考——兼论辞书编撰中的疏失

摘　　要：《汉语大词典》收有“畏爱”“畏_2爱”,其中“畏_2爱”并未成词,属于误增。“畏爱”是史书中常见的一个词语,动词义为“敬佩爱戴”,名词义为“值得人敬佩和爱戴的名声”。它的成词经历了形合短语“畏而爱”到意合短语“畏爱”的过程,其成词时间不晚于南朝梁,其由动词转类为名词不晚于宋初。文献中另有一组同形词“偎爱_1”“偎爱_2”,“偎爱_1”与动词“畏爱”实际上是同词异字关系,产生于魏晋之际;“偎爱_2”产生于元代以后,与“畏爱”无关。通过考察“畏爱”的成词过程,文章指出了《汉语大词典》在词条编写中的五处问题,希望以此为例,引起《汉语大词典》修订人员对成词过程和词义演变情况的重视。The"wei-ai(畏爱)"and"wei-ai(畏2爱)"are included in the Great Chinese Dictionary,of which"wei-ai(畏2爱)"is not a word,which is a mistaken addition.The"wei-ai(畏爱)"is a common word in historical books.The verb means"to admire and respect",and the noun means"a reputation wor-thy of admiration and respect".Its word-forming has gone through the process from the metamorphic phrase"wei-er-ai(畏而爱)"to the paratactic phrase"wei-ai(畏爱)".Its word-forming time is no later than the Liang Dynasty,and its transformation from a verb to a noun is no later than the beginning of the Song Dynasty.In the literature,there is another group of homographs"wei-ai(偎爱1)"and"wei-ai(偎爱2)","wei-ai(偎爱1)"and the verb"wei-ai(畏爱)"are actually the same word with different characters,which originated in the Wei and Jin Dynasties;"wei-ai(偎爱2)"originated in Yuan Dynasty.After the generation,it has meaningless association with"wei-ai(畏爱)".By investigating the word-forming process of"wei-ai(畏爱)",the article pointed out five problems in the compilation of entries in the Great Chinese Diction-ary,hoping to attract the attention of the revised personnel about word-forming process and vocabulary evolution.
