摘 要:从19世纪初开始,英国高等教育治理体系先后经历了大学主导的惰性治理体系、政府与大学合作的惯性治理体系以及政府主导的刚性治理体系三个阶段。每一次变革都是在一定政治或经济事件催化下,政府认识到必须让大学满足某种时代需求时开启改革,随后在政府与大学的磨合下完成转变。英国高等教育治理体系的现代化嬗变是大学理想退却而形式理性胜利的过程,而现代化带来的治理困境引发我们对当代高等教育治理的深思。Since the beginning of the 19 th century,the British higher education governance system has undergone three stages of evolution:the inactive governance system led by the university,the customary governance system under the cooperation between the government and the university,and the rigid governance system led by the government.The logic of each change went like this:The government embarked on the reform when certain political or economic events made it realize that universities must meet certain needs of the times,and then the transformation would be completed under the running-in of the government and universities.The evolution of the British higher education governance system has been a process characterized by the retreat of the ideal and the triumph of the reason,and the governance dilemma induced by modernization inspires in-depth reflections on contemporary higher education governance.
