“顺译”策略在雅思阅读教学中的应用

摘  要:"顺译"是"视译"有效的组织句式策略。雅思阅读文本充斥大量的长难句和被动语态及分割结构等复杂句式,对学生阅读理解的正确率提出了严峻挑战。文章基于翻译符号学"符指"过程的基本理论,尝试运用"顺译"策略把英文长难句翻译成汉语意思,提高学生的阅读速度和理解能力,实现"短时高效"之阅读学习目标,总结对中国英语教学改革有启发的思路。Linearity is an effective syntactic strategy adopted by an interpreter involved in "sight translation".The syntactic feature in IELTS reading texts appears to be highly complicated pertaining to the number of long sentences,the passive voice and split structure and the like.Hence,students are faced with tremendous challenges while seeking accuracy of reading comprehension.Based on the theoretical paradigm of semiosis in translation semiotics,this paper attempts to apply the strategy of "linearity" to translating long sentences in IELTS reading into Chinese,which is expected to enhance students’ reading speed and comprehension so as to realize such learning objective as "reading faster and better".Hereby,the paper is aimed at investigating some insightful ideas to undertake English teaching reforms in China.
