摘 要:《卷耳》是《诗经》中在叙事方面很有特色的一首诗,因其人称指代的模糊性而产生了众多不同的阐释和英译本。理雅各、高本汉、韦利和庞德等4位译者参考中国的传统阐释,都舍弃了《卷耳》中国经学传统的阐释及其政治意义,从而简化了这种阐释所产生的复杂的“叙事层次”和“复合声音”。他们针对人称指代的模糊性,采取了3种处理方法明确“声音”与“叙事层次”,产生了3种叙事效果,表现了2种主题,塑造了2种人物形象,并结合不同的修辞手法,形成了不同强度的情感表达效果,从而丰富了诗歌的文本内涵,提供了新的鉴赏视角。Juan′er is a poem of The Book of Songs with distinct features of narrative.It is due to the ambiguity of the personal reference"I"that it owns various versions of interpretation and translation.In reference of Chinese traditional interpretations,the four translators-James Legge,Bernhard Karlgren,Arthur Waley and Ezra Pound reject the interpretation of Chinese traditional study of Confucian classics and its political meaning,and thus simplify the complicated"dual voice"and"narrative levels"produced by that interpretation.In the light of such ambiguity,three methods are employed by them to identify the"voice"and the structure of the"narrative levels,"so that three narrative effects,two themes and two kinds of main characters are reproduced,and different extents of emotions are expressed with various rhetoric devices.In this way,the text content of the poem is enriched and new perspectives of appreciation offered.
