摘　　要：《小说世界》是20年代商务印书馆旗下发行量最大的小说专刊,该刊物的显著特征在于长期大量刊发国外翻译小说。从它创刊的1923年到停刊的1929年,7年间发行264期杂志中共刊发了503篇翻译小说,呈现出一派丰富多彩的翻译景观。本文认为,这些译作为今天考察20世纪20年代域外小说中文翻译状况留下重要的史料;同时,通过刊发翻译小说,《小说世界》参与、改变、重塑了20年代本土白话文都市小说的新想象,它既有别于新文学运动的严肃姿态,又有别于旧文人小说的陈腐窠臼。通过对这些译作的梳理与辨析可发现,20年代的翻译小说不仅为当时的本土白话文小说创作提供新范式,而且翻译本身也极大地丰富了都市小说的新想象。Novel World is a novel special issue with the largest circulation under the Commercial Press in the 1920s.A notable feature of this publication is that it has published a large number of foreign translated novels for a long time.A total of 503 translated novels have been published in 264 issues of magazines from 1923,when it was first published,to 1929,when it was discontinued,showing a colorful translation landscape.This paper holds that these translations are important historical materials for today’s investigation of the Chinese translation of foreign novels in the 1920s.At the same time,this publication participates in,changes and reshapes the“new”imagination of local vernacular popular novels in the 1920s,which is different from the serious attitude of the New Literature Movement and the stale stereotypes of old literati novels.By combing and analyzing these translations,we can find that the translated novels in the 1920s not only provided a new paradigm for the creation of local vernacular novels at that time,but also greatly enriched the new imagination of urban novels.
