摘 要:二语学习者的语音问题可能源自其大脑的范畴化感知偏误。本文使用基于"儿向语"的原创语音培训软件对中国英语学习者极易混淆的英语对比音/i/和//的范畴化感知过程进行干预研究。研究采用行为和事件相关电位两种测量方法对干预前后的范畴化感知程度进行评估。结果显示培训后被试对英语对比音/i/和//关键声学特征的范畴化感知程度明显增强,表明基于"儿向语"特征的语音培训可以有效帮助学习者达到目标音位更趋近于母语的范畴化感知水平。Constraints on phonetic learning in a second language may derive from categorical perception in the brain that is biased towards the native language.This research aimes to train Chinese English-as-second-language(ESL) learners to approach native-like phonetic categorization of a very challenging English vowel contrast/i/and/I/through a self-developed computer training program motivated by infant-directed speech(IDS).Behavioral and event-related potential(ERP) measures are used to assess changes in Chinese ESL learners’ categorical perception before and after training.The results show that Chinese ESL learners’ perception of English vowels/i/and/I/become more categorical after training,suggesting that features in IDS can be harnessed in computer-aided training to effectively approach more native-like categorical perception.
