摘　　要：As a state of ceremonies,the etiquette culture,which occupies a significant position in the Chinese culture,has gone deep in the soul of every Chinese person,distinguishing the Chinese from other nationalities.Hong Lou Meng(HLM)was written at the end of the feudal era,depicting an extended family which experienced rise and fall,happiness and sorrow as kinsmen of the emperor.The historical and social background of HLM determines that the novel is abundant in etiquette,with elaborate recording of Chinese tradition,which enriched the cultural connotation of HLM and carried forward the Chinese culture.This paper takes HLM as cases to study the translation of etiquette culture.
