摘　　要：Acromegaly is a progressive disease caused by an increased in the levels of growth hormone(GH),followed by an increased in the levels of insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1).Most cases are caused by GH-secreting pituitary adenomas.Long-term exposure to excessive GH would affect all systems of the body,of which the cardiovascular system has the highest incidence rate and mortality rate.This review discusses the influence of acromegaly on cardiovascular diseases and its treatment.
