《大漠祭》甘肃方言英译策略探析

摘　　要：方言表现作品的乡土风格、地域特色,雪漠小说《大漠祭》中方言起着刻画人物性格、展示地域风情的重要功能。《大漠祭》原文共计262条方言,基于“直译—意译”连续统概念,对它们英译文本定量分析后发现,葛浩文与林丽君对方言翻译采取的策略在“直译—意译”连续统上不断变化,更多时候采取(归化式)意译,结合定性分析译文采取的翻译策略及方言意义的表达,并探讨翻译策略选取背后的动因,以期为后续甘肃方言翻译提供借鉴。Dialect reveals the local customs and regional characters, which exerts important roles in regional customs and shaping roleof characters in Desert Rites by Xue Mo. There are 262 dialects in the original text. Based on the“literal translation-free translation”continuumof translation, the English version of dialects with quantitative analysis found that the translators, Howard goldblatt and Sylviali-chun Lin, rendered the dialects with different translation strategies on the“literal translation-free translation”continuum. Freetranslation was adopted more.With qualitative analysis,this article gives an analysis of different translation strategies chose by the translatorand its behind reasons.
