摘  要:Clickers(课堂表决器)虽然目前还没有得到广泛的认可,但如果运用得当,其教学前景一片光明,可以成为推动大学英语教学的一种有效工具。本项研究从作者所工作的大学4个学年(补充调查了近3个学年)的本科生中随机挑选参与者,了解课堂表决器对大学英语听、说技能的影响,考察课堂表决器与传统多媒体辅助教学在认知负荷方面的差异。得出的结论是,与多媒体辅助教学相比,(1)课堂表决器能够提高本科生的大学英语听力技能;(2)课堂表决器能够提高本科生的大学英语口语技能;(3)课堂表决器能够减轻本科生的大学英语课堂认知。另外本项研究还在授课、学习和认知负荷理论的基础上,探索、讨论了本项研究的结果和缺陷,对今后的研究工作提出了若干建议。Clickers might be a good future in China if they are properly used although they have not been widely accepted.It can be an effective tool to facilitate English learning and teaching in Chinese English classes.This study,by randomly selecting the participants from the students in a university in China over four academic years,aims to identify the impact of Clickers on college English learning and speaking skills and differences in cognitive loads between traditional multimedia assisted instruction modes and Clickers.The research results indicate,compared with traditional multimedia assisted instruction,(1)Clickers could improve college English listening skills;(2)Clickers could improve college English speaking skills;(3)Clickers could reduce the students’cognitive loads in college English class.The results and defects in this study were also mentioned and discussed,based on learning,teaching,and cognitive load theories.Some suggestions for the future research were also raised.
