翻译教学中学生外语能力的提高——以汉译法课程为例

摘  要:在西方外语教学领域,翻译曾经被排斥在课堂之外,20世纪70年代交际法兴起时,翻译逐渐回归课堂。在我国,由于历史、文化以及外语教学传统的影响,翻译一直是外语课堂的一部分,并没有经历西方外语教学领域中先被排斥后回归课堂的过程。因此,在当今语境下,国内外语教学研究的焦点之一是如何将翻译和外语教学有机结合。本文以汉译法课程为例,明确本科汉译外课程的性质和定位,并结合翻译教学实例探讨如何在翻译教学中提高学生的外语表达能力。In the West,translation was once excluded from foreign language classes before it gradually returned to the classroom when the communicative approach emerged in the 1970s.In China,however,translation has always been included as part of the language classroom because of historical and cultural factors and foreign language teaching traditions.Thus,one of the focal points of research on foreign language teaching in China is how to profitably integrate translation and foreign language teaching.In this paper,we first try to clarify the nature and positioning of the Chineseforeign language translation course in undergraduate curriculum,using the example of the Chinese-French translation course.We then discuss,with the aid of practical cases,how to improve students’foreign language speaking skills through translation courses.
