摘 要:本研究基于自建语料库,采用定量和定性分析相结合的方法,以《狂人日记》莱尔译本和杨宪益、戴乃迭译本为研究对象,分别从词汇、句法和语篇三个层面分析两个版本的译者翻译风格,并结合译者时代背景、翻译标准和策略、翻译目的三个方面进一步探究译者风格成因。分析结果表明,杨、戴译本短句多,口语特征明显,句式灵活多变,更易读;莱尔译本句法复杂度高,长句多,口语特征略微平缓,文学性更强。本研究旨在促进《狂人日记》的跨文化交流和传播,延续和扩展鲁迅作品生命的长度和宽度。This study analyzes the translation styles of two versions of Diary of a Madman by Lyell, Xianyi Yang and Gladys Yang. Adopting both quantitative and qualitative research method, it focuses on the translation of vocabulary, syntax and discourse based on the self-constructed corpus. Also, it further explores the causes of the translation styles from the aspects of the translators’ background, translation criteria and strategies, and translation purpose. The results show that Xianyi Yang and Gladys Yang’s version takes a flexible sentence pattern with many short sentences, which is easily comprehensible to the readers. Meanwhile, Lyell’s version conveys syntactic complexity with a host of long sentences, which has fewer oral features but more literariness. By the study it is to boost the promotion of Diary of a Madman in a cross-cultural context.
