《名利场》中的女性形象塑造及社会意蕴

摘　　要：《名利场》是著名的批判主义小说,通过塑造两个处于不同阶级、人生理想不同的女性形象,生动立体地描述了维多利亚时期资产阶级固化的丑恶现象。两个女性形象分别代表了资本主义社会中两类不同的人,作者用她们的思想、选择和最终的命运,为读者清晰地呈现了人的不同选择所能够导致的后果,具有比较深刻的教育意义。并借由两位女性形象表达了对于拜金主义的批判:追名逐利终究只是虚幻,对不正确的社会现象愚忠顺从只会令自己成为牺牲品,以及只有正确科学的社会形态才能塑造出良好的民众。"Vanity Fair"is a well-known critical novel.It vividly and three-dimensionally describes the ugly phenomenon of the solidification of the capital class during the Victorian period through the establishment of two female images of different classes and different life ideals.The two female images represent two different types of people in the capitalist society.The author uses their thoughts,choices and ultimate destiny to clearly present the consequences of different choices of people to readers,and has a relatively profound education.significance.And through the image of two women to express the criticism of money worship:chasing fame and gain is only illusion after all,loyalty and obedience to incorrect social phenomena will only make oneself a victim,and only a correct and scientific social form can create a good people.
