中国重述神话小说的跨文化阐释与接受——以苏童《碧奴》英译为例

摘　　要：中国重述神话小说的译介与对外传播,是与世界分享兼具民族性与世界性的中国好故事的重要途径。苏童以民间传说“孟姜女哭长城”为蓝本创作《碧奴》,融入瑰丽的想象与大胆的创造,塑造了眼泪与哭泣的姿态,赋予古老神话新时代的精神。葛浩文的跨文化阐释在原作的字面意义之上建立起一个影子世界,将译本纳入单一化的解读之中,最终消解了眼泪的神力、虚幻了爱情的写意、弱化了阶级的争斗,冲淡了英语读者对作品感性表面的体验,压缩了他们的想象与解读空间,其过度阐释一定程度上阻碍了译作在英语文化社会的传播与接受。The successful translation and dissemination of retold Chinese myths is indispensable for Chinese stories go far and wide.As a retelling of the legend of Meng Jiangnv,Binu and the Great Wall depicts the magical tear and cry through bold imagination,endowing the old myth with the spirit of contemporary society.Howard Goldblatt tends to make unnecessary cuts and rewriting in his translation to cast a shadow on the literal meaning of the source text and reduce its interpretation into the minimum,finally dissolving the magical power of tear,fading the implicit love,relieving the class conflicts.His overinterpretation covers the sensuous surface of Binu which was supposed to be open to American readers’interpretations and stands in the way of Binu's going international.
