摘　　要：禁忌语是典型的文化现象,与文化的渊源与发展都息息相关。在中西方文化中,各自存在着自己的禁忌语,同时又不断相互影响和相互作用。禁忌语通常属于文化中非常微妙的一部分,在跨文化交流中极为重要,但又容易被忽视。与之相反,合理地应用禁忌语又可以促进跨文化交际的更好实现,发挥事半功倍的效果。因此,通过对中西方文化禁忌语的对比研究,我们不仅可以更好地了解禁忌语,通过洞悉其中的同与不同、变与不变、从而避免因禁忌语引起的情感误解和文化冲突。Taboo is a typical cultural phenomenon,closely related to the origin and development of culture.Both Chinese and Western cultures have their own taboos,which are constantly influencing and interacting with each other.Taboos usually belong to a very subtle part of culture,which are extremely important in cross-cultural communication,but are easily overlooked.On the other hand,the proper application of taboos can promote the better realization of cross-cultural communication and yield twice the result with half the effort.Therefore,through the comparison of taboos between Chinese and western culture,we can have a better understanding of them and furthermore avoid the emotional misunderstanding and cultural conflict caused by the taboos through insight into the similarities and the differences between them.
