从“译得出”到“译得好”——从2021年TEM8翻译试题引出的思考

摘　　要：翻译的质量与译者对文本的分析紧密相关。把词句作为翻译单位,得到的译文往往会与原文语篇整体风格发生偏离。2021年TEM 8翻译考试结果很好地诠释了以段落为翻译单位的优势,在为数不多的优秀翻译答卷中,考生对语篇的整体把握能力明显高出一截。从功能语言学角度的语篇分析对翻译实践和翻译教学都具有一定的启示作用——从文化语境入手到词句对等结束,是“译得好”的有效途径。Whether a translation is good or not depends on the translator s analysis of the text.Taking words and sentences as translation unit,we will usually get a translation deviating from the original text s style.The results in TEM8 translation tasks clearly demonstrate the advantage of taking text as translation unit.Among the small number of excellent answers in translation tasks of TEM8 in 2021,we could find the translators have the comprehensive grasp of text.Functional linguistics text analysis can provide certain inspiration for translation practice as well as teaching as it is an effective way of achieving“excellent translation”by starting from textual context analysis to achieving equivalence between words and sentences.
