As the existence foundation and final basis of all values, the ontological Value provides value orientation and purpose guidance for our moral education evaluation. At present, we are suffering from the harmful effect of scientific positivism and performancism. It results in the obscuration of Instrumental value over ontological value. As a result, the moral education evaluation is more and more alienated from the whole development of human moral life and spiritual life. The reform of moral education evaluation based on ontological value can effectively overcome the rationality crisis of moral education evaluation and form the correct orientation for it. Therefore, moral education evaluation should break away from the negative effects of scientific positivism, performancism, and instrumental rationalism, and form the evaluation ideas of humanism, and constructivism, establish a governance system with multiple consultation, joint construction, and joint governance, which can break the shackle of performancism system. It should construct multiple evaluation methods such as integrated evaluation, open evaluation and value-added evaluation, so as to evaluate and guide people’s moral growth from the perspective of intrinsic, spiritual and personality.
