摘 要:本研究聚焦双向语用迁移,通过话语补全测试法,调查低、中、高英语水平的中国英语学习者及汉、英单语者的恭维语应答,旨在探讨学习者恭维语应答方式并探究其随二语发展的变化趋势。研究发现英语学习者在双向语用迁移的影响下,整合汉、英语用知识,其汉语和英语的恭维语应答方式趋同,且显著区别于汉、英单语者的恭维语应答方式。恭维语应答方式受二语水平的影响,随着二语水平提高,正向迁移减弱而逆向迁移增强,二者的变化幅度递减,当达到较高二语水平且双向迁移程度趋于稳定时,汉、英恭维语应答方式趋同。This study aims at exploring how Chinese EFL learners respond to compliments based on the analysis of bidirectional pragmatic transfer.By investigating the compliment responses of Chinese EFL learners with low,intermediate and high English proficiency as well as Chinese and English monolinguals via DCT,this study found that under the influence of bidirectional pragmatic transfer,EFL learners combine Chinese and English pragmatic knowledge and their compliment responses are consistent regardless of the language speaking and different from those of Chinese and English monolinguals.L2 proficiency has an effect on how Chinese EFL learners respond to compliments.With the increase of L2 proficiency,the forward transfer declines while the backward transfer increases,both having a declining degree of change;when L2 proficiency has reached a relatively high level and the degree of bidirectional transfer has stabilized,Chinese and English compliment responses converge.
