摘  要:To the Editor:The kidney is a highly energy-consuming organ and is prone to damage if there is an energy supply disorder.Adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a critical role in metabolism,autophagy,inflammation,and mitochondrial homeostasis.AMPK is involved as an energy sensor in the physiological and pathological processes of the kidney.
