跨专业MTI研究生学习动机及其变化的研究

摘  要:当前有更多的非英语专业学生跨专业报考MTI,但鲜有研究关注这部分学生学习动机的动态变化。本文以23名跨专业MTI研究生为对象,通过学习动机曲线绘制以及回溯性访谈,分析其跨专业报考MTI的动机类型,及其学习动机的动态变化与影响因素。结果显示:跨专业MTI研究生作为个体的学习动机变化复杂多样,但作为整体的学习动机水平具有一定规律性;动机变化受学生英语基础水平、MTI课程安排、本科阶段专业、个体心理、实习及就业前景等因素的影响。本研究依此提出有关MTI研究生课程设置及教学实施的建议。Despite the current increase in the number of non-English-major students applying for MTI,little is known about the dynamic changes in their learning motivation.Featuring 23 cross-disciplinary MTI students,this study adopted learning motivation curve drawing and retrospective interviews to explore the subjects'motivation for applying for the MTI program,as well as the dynamic changes in and the influencing factors for their learning motivation.The results show that the learning motivation of MTI students as individuals is complex and varied,but regularity could be observed with the level of learning motivation for these students as a whole.Influencing factors for their changes in motivation include their basic English level,the MTI curriculum at their universities,their undergraduate major,their individual psychology,the internship and employment prospects.Findings from this study may hold some implications for MTI curriculum setting and teaching implementation.
