美国语言教学手册《袖珍指南》的教学策略及意识形态探究

摘　　要：二战至冷战时期,美国制定的语言教学手册《袖珍指南》涉及语言教学、文化理解等多个方面,并突出了交际性和文化性。英语国家(地区)、非英语国家(地区)及皮钦语国家(地区)的《袖珍指南》在语言教学的各个层面特色不同。而部分国家(地区)《袖珍指南》的历时变化又展示了美国海外语言教学策略的发展过程。《袖珍指南》不但是美国语言教学研究发展的珍贵史料,更为我国在意识形态研究、外语教学和对外汉语教学提供重要借鉴。The language teaching part of The Pocket Guides published by the US army for overseas officers and soldiers from the Second World War to the Cold War was regarded as an important component of military strategy.The teaching focuses on practicality and the ability of communication.The Pocket Guides for English-speaking countries or regions focus on vocabulary and slang teaching in English variant countries.The Pocket Guides in non-English-speaking countries or regions highlight the distinctive features of phonetic intonation and common vocabulary.The Pocket Guides introduce the pronunciation rules and grammatical simplification characteristics in pidgin countries or regions by means of speech and vocabulary teaching.Besides,the diachronic changes of The Pocket Guides in some areas show the development process of language teaching strategy abroad by the US.Therefore,The Pocket Guides is not only a precious historical material for language teaching research in the US,but also an important reference for ideological research,foreign language teaching and Chinese teaching as a foreign language.
