摘  要:企业社会责任报告是石油企业与其利益相关者沟通的常规文体、是石油企业谋求组织合法性的重要工具,然而对其翻译的探讨却相当少见。本文基于翻译功能目的论与企业利益相关者理论,以中国和美国大型石油企业的社会责任报告为例,提出石油企业社会责任报告翻译应以企业利益相关者为沟通对象、采用以主语为驱动的英译策略、以达成企业组织合法性诉求为目的。石油企业社会责任报告英译过程中主语确定可考虑使用石油企业自身作为主语、充分利用各类责任担任主语、适度增加多方利益相关者充当主语。英译报告的主语翻译可将责任主体进行修饰限定以形成具体实在的主语、将责任内容转化为动作名词以形成具有行动感的主语、将责任对象融入主语成分以形成具有人文关怀的主语。以主语为驱动的英译策略能为石油企业外宣翻译与其他类型报告翻译提供有益参考,也能为探索企业沟通理论在石油企业外宣翻译中的应用提供有益借鉴。Corporate Social Responsibility report(CSR report)is a typical corporate publicity text to communicate with the shareholders and an important tool for oil corporations to gain organizational legitimacy,whose translation studies are few and far between.In light of skopos theory and stakeholder theory,this paper holds that the CSR reports are intended to communicate with the corporate shareholders and hence advocates that the subject-driven translation strategies should be used in the translation of CSR reports by using the CSR reports of Chinese and American oil giants as the demonstration.This paper maintains that the subjects in translating CSR reports can be the oil corporations themselves,the various entities of the responsibilities,and the stakeholders concerned.Subjects can thus be translated by three ways:modifying the entities of the responsibilities to make the subjects tangible and substantial;employing the gerunds as part of the subjects to stress the fulfilled responsibilities;and making the stakeholders as the subjects to show care and concern.The subject-driven translation strategies can shed light to the translation of the other corporate publicity profiles of the oil companies and other kinds of reports as well as to offer insights to the application of the corporate communication theories in the translation studies.
