“以信为首”原则下《金匮要略》疟病术语的英译探讨

摘　　要：中医典籍中的病名承载着中医的独特文化内涵,与现代医学体系下的疾病名称名相关而实不同。如中医概念下的疟病指人体正气不足而外邪入侵,正邪交争而出现以寒热往来、休作有时为证候特点的一类病证。而现代医学的疟疾(malaria)指的是经疟蚊叮咬或输入带疟原虫的血液而感染疟原虫所引起的虫媒传染病。文章以《金匮要略》第4章《疟病脉证并治》中的5个疟病术语(疟、疟母、瘅疟、温疟、牝疟)为例,基于“以信为首”的翻译原则,从各术语的中医内涵切入探讨,对比辨析5个典型英文全译本中的对应表达,归纳推荐译法。病名术语的英译研究对于中医术语英译的标准化、以及中医文化的推广具有重要的推动作用。With unique culture-loaded features of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),disease terms are different from those corresponding modern ones.For example,malarial disorders in TCM are characterized by intermittent and alternate attacks of chill and fever due to struggle between healthy and pathogenic qi;whereas malaria in modern medicine refers to an insect-borne disease infected by malaria parasites with similar manifestations.This paper made an analysis of the five malarial terms(malarial disorders,malarial disorder with mass,heat malarial disorder,warm malarial disorder,yin malarial disorder)from the chapter four Malarial Disorders Maizheng Bingzhi of Jingui Yaolue(Synopsis of the Golden Chamber),compared the five typical English versions of them and summarized the recommended ones according to the primary principle of faithfulness.The study of English translation of TCM disease terms may help promote the standardization of English translation of TCM terms and the transmission of TCM culture.
