《政府工作报告》(2016-2020)英译本语体特征分析

摘　　要：《政府工作报告》的翻译为世界人民全面了解中国提供了窗口,成为了政论文翻译研究的主要内容。该研究运用语料库方法对2016年-2020年中国《政府工作报告》英译本和美国《国情咨文》的词汇和句法等语体特征进行了对比分析。研究结果表明:《政府工作报告》呈现出词汇密度较高、词汇丰富度较低、指导性和建议性强的词汇特征,以及平均句长较长、并列结构多的句法特征。文章分析了差异产生的原因,以期为今后《政府工作报告》和其他外宣文本翻译提供借鉴。The translation of Report on the Work of the Government provides a window for people around the world to get a comprehensive understanding of China,and has become the main object of study in the translation of political essays.The present study uses corpus methods to compare and analyze the lexical and syntactic features of the English translation of the 2016-2020 Report on the Work of the Government and the State of the Union Address.The results show that Report on the Work of the Government exhibits lexical features of higher lexical density,lower lexical richness,and strong guidance and advice,as well as syntactic features of longer average sentence length and more parallel structures.This study analyzes the reasons for the differences,with a view to providing reference for future translations of the Report on the Work of the Government and other foreign promotional texts.
