大学翻译教学与翻译能力诊断初探——以翻译日志个案为例

摘  要:翻译能力是外语专业和非外语专业学生的就业核心竞争力之一,也是其拥有国际视野的必备素养。面对翻译行业对跨学科翻译人才的急剧需求,大学翻译教学应适当融入专业翻译教学,以培养基数庞大的非外语专业学生的翻译能力。翻译能力诊断可有效促进翻译学习和反拨翻译教学,翻译日志作为一种重要的翻译能力诊断方式,是“教师导学—学生课堂翻译学习+学生课后自主翻译学习(翻译练习+翻译日志+拓展学习)—师生共评反馈(课堂展示与讨论+课后线上线下交流)”这一大学翻译教学模式中各环节的连接纽带,集诊学、促学、促教于一体,既可用于学生自评,也可用于教学评估,能为学生自主翻译学习和大学翻译教学提供决策依据。Translation competence is one of the core competitiveness of employment for English majors and non-English majors,and it is also a necessary quality for them to have an international perspective.Facing the surging demand for trans-disciplinary translation talents in the translation industry,the translation teaching for non-English major should appropriately combine the translation teaching for English major to cultivate the translation competence of a large number of non-English majors.Translation competence assessment(TCA)can effectively promote translation learning and backwash translation teaching.The translation teaching pattern for non-English major should consist of“guiding translation learning by a teacher-translation learning by students in class+autonomous translation learning by students after class(to finish the assigned translation exercise+to write the translation log+to extend translation learning as required)-teacher-students sharing feedback(presentation by a student and discussion together in class+online and offline interaction between a teacher and students)”.As one of the most important methods of TCA,the translation log links every step in the teaching pattern,functioning as diagnosing learning and improving learning and teaching,and can be used for students’self-evaluation as well as teaching evaluation,thereby providing decision-making for students’autonomous translation learning and translation teaching for non-English majors.
