摘  要:人本主义教育思想主张以学习者为中心,重视发挥学生的潜能。教学活动应为学生创设安全的学习环境,促成学生的意义学习、自主学习和自我发现。大学英语作为大学生必修的语言文化类课程,在人文教育方面具有不可替代的作用。人本主义教育思想与大学英语人文教育精神相吻合。通过介绍人本主义教育思想的理论渊源和主要内涵,分析大学英语课程的教学现状,阐述人本主义思想在大学英语课程教学观念、教学目标、教学内容和教学方法上的具体体现,将人本主义教育理念同教学实践相结合,旨在语言教学的同时,提高学生的人文素养,促成学生的自我成长。Since the rise of humanistic approaches in 1970s’, it has become a trend in the language education area. It mainly concerns that language teaching should put students at the core of the activities and pay much attention to students’ feelings and demands. Teaching activities should be conductive to students’ self-discover,introspection and self-esteem. College English teaching is part of humanistic education in colleges and universities.It has both instrumental and humanistic purposes. Therefore, humanistic approaches are in line with the spirit of college English humanistic education. This paper gives a brief review of these approaches with its focus on the theoretical origins and the main ideas. After analyzing the problems in current college English teaching, this paper relates the humanistic approach to teaching ideas, teaching objectives, teaching contents and teaching methodologies in College English teaching. The purpose of this paper is to provide an effective way to improve students’ language learning, upgrade students’ humanistic quality and promote students’ inner growth at the same time.
