摘　　要：《史记》吴起传记载“其少时,家累千金”,后世往往据此认为吴起的社会阶层是商家子或新兴豪富。通过诸多史料分析,吴起与商鞅一样应是出身于卫国的公族或没落的贵族。他不仅拥有不凡的理想和抱负,而且具有相当的操守和秉持;虽志在功名,却仅投身于鲁、魏、楚,而终不践齐、秦之境等,无不体现了一定程度的贵族修养及其做事尺度。似乎不宜绝对地认为他是一个急功近利、唯利是图、不择手段的法术之士或冷酷的“赌徒”。The biography of Wu Qi in Historical Records narrated that“when he was young,his family was very wealthy”.According to that,later generations often thought that Wu Qi’s social stratum was related to a businessman or a newly rich man.However,through the analysis of many historical materials,Wu Qi,like Shang Yang,should be a public or declining aristocrat born in the state of Wei.He not only had extraordinary ideals and aspirations,but also had considerable integrity and perseverance.Although he aspired to fame,he only devoted himself to the kingdoms of Lu,Wei and Chu,and never practiced the realm of Qi and Qin,all of which reflected a certain degree of aristocratic cultivation and work standards.It seems inappropriate to absolutely think that he was a sorcerer or a cold“gambler”who was eager for quick success and instant benefit,mercenary and unscrupulous.
