摘　　要：华兹生是国外迄今为止翻译苏轼诗词最多的一位译者。按照图里的翻译规范理论,将文本置于具体的历史文化语境中,能够更准确地解释译者在翻译过程中的实际抉择。华兹生的译诗选篇倾向于山水禅诗和乐观主义诗篇,反映了战后美国社会文化思潮影响下译诗的预备规范。在操作规范方面,苏轼诗歌中的节奏、叠词和对仗等形式特点被折射译入英语的自由诗体中,产生了译文杂合的现象。在初始规范方面,华兹生在源语文化规范和目的语文化规范之间寻求平衡,使得苏轼诗词在异域文化中得到再生与融合,其译作是中美文化折射与融合的结果,对当下典籍英译具有启迪意义。Among the foreigners,Burton Watson has translated the most poems of Su Shi so far.According to Toury's translation norms theory,placing the text in the specific context of history and culture can exactly explain the translator's actual choice in the process of translation.Watson's selected poems tend to be scenic,buddhist and optimistic ones of Su Shi,which reflects the preliminary norms of poetry translation under the influence of social and cultural thoughts of post-war America.In terms of operational norms,the rhythm,reduplicative words and antithesis of Su Shi's poetry are refracted and translated into the English free verse genre,which produces a hybrid translation.In terms of initial norms,Watson seeks a balance between the cultural norms of the source language and the target language,so that the poems of Su Shi are regenerated and integrated in a foreign culture.His translation is the result of the refraction and integration of Chinese and American cultures,which has enlightening significance for the translation of Chinese classics.
