摘 要:本文首次报道和描述了武汉地区上泥盆统五通组的双壳类化石,将其定名为Sanguinolitessp.(血石蛤未定种)。通过对比五通组Sanguinolites和石炭纪cf. Sanguinolites与Carbonicola的大小、壳形、产出层段,以及双壳类的适应性形态功能,综合岩性和植物化石的保存状态,本研究认为武汉五通组的沉积环境为低输沙量、低水动能的局限海湾环境,食物可获得性较差。低输沙量与晚泥盆世植被发育及其对地表土壤的保护,以及该区的地理位置有关,而低水动能可能是由于障壁岛(或障壁沙坝)的存在,使得研究区成为半封闭的水域,海水能量较低。这种相对闭塞的低能环境,也是造成这一地区双壳类分异度低、个体小和壳薄的主要原因。新发现的化石材料填补了中扬子地区五通组双壳类的空白,对该地区古环境和古地理的重建具有重要意义。New material of bivalves is figured and described from the Upper Devonian Wutung Formation in Wuhan for the first time. They are attributed to Sanguinolites sp. By comparing the size, shell shape, and stratigraphical horizon of Sanguinolites from the Wutung Formation with cf. Sanguinolites and Carbonicola from the Carboniferous, as well as analyses of the morphology and function of the bivalves, lithology and plant fossils in the same horizon, it is considered that the Wutung Formation was formed in a restricted bay with a low sediment transport and low hydrodynamic condition as well as poor food availability. The low sediment supply is related to the development of vegetation during the Late Devonian and its protection of the surface soil, as well as the geographical location. The low hydrodynamic condition may be due to the existence of the barrier islands(or barrier bars), which makes the sea water semi-closed. This relatively closed and low-energy environment resulted in the low diversity, small body size and thin shell of bivalves in this area.The discovery of new material fills in the gaps of bivalves in the Wutung Formation in the Middle Yangtze Region, which is of great significance to the reconstruction of palaeoenvironment and palaeogeography of this area.
