In order toexplore the influence of the offline social anxiety of college students on WeChat self-presentation,a sample of 338 college students completed the online questionnaires on Social Anxiety Inventory(SAI)for college students,Social Anxiety Scale for Social Media Users(SAS-SMU),Online Interpersonal Trust and Social Media Self-presentation.Results show that(1)lack of self-confidence dimension of offline social anxiety had a significant negative predictive effect on WeChat true/positive self-presentation;(2)online interpersonal trust plays a partial mediating role between lack of self-confidence dimension and positive self-presentation;(3)the mediating effects of online interpersonal trust between the lack of self-confidence dimension and positive self-presentation are moderated by online social anxiety. This shows that the social anxiety of college students caused by the lack of self-confidence affects their positive self-presentation behavior in WeChat through part of the mediating effect of online interpersonal trust,in which online social anxiety plays a certain moderating role.
