In view of the influence of tunnel spacing and unfavorable geological body on the stability of two-hole parallel tunnels, the reasonable spacing of parallel tunnels under soft surrounding rock condition and the effect of advanced geological prediction were studied.Under the guidance of rock mechanics theory, the excavation process of two-hole parallel horseshoe tunnels with different tunnel spacing was numerically simulated, and the stress distribution laws of surrounding rocks and middle rock pillars were obtained. The test results are concluded as follows. The tunnel spacing has a significant effect on the stress state of the middle rock pillars.Under the condition of classⅤsurrounding rock, the tunnel spacing shall be greater than 1.5 times of the tunnel radius. The geological radar image can effectively reflect the unfavorable geological body in the surrounding rock in front of the tunnel,as well as the situation of the tunnel lining.
