四单音动词并列式的构成、语法性质及表义方式

摘　　要：汉语四单音动词并列结构是从表述相关复杂活动或事件的若干单音动词中选取四个较为典型或重要的并列而成,这类并列式中有些固化程度高、结构紧密,有些在停顿、位序及构成成分方面有一定的灵活性。语法性质上,该结构总体上具有名词性,但其中也有一些仍具有较强的动词性,其动词性和名词性的强弱与其所含单音动词的动词性和名词性强弱、结构方式、自由程度有一定关系。表义方式上,这种并列式中有不少有转喻或隐喻用法。A coordinative construction with four monosyllabic verbs in Mandarin is that in which four monosyllabic verbs are selected as the typical actions or sub-events in a complex activity or an event.Some of them have been lexicalized or entrenched while others are flexible in forms.Overall,to some extent the constructions function as noun phrases syntactically,but some of them can still be used as the verb phrases.The weakness or strength of their properties as noun or verb phrases are relevant to the properties of the monosyllabic verbs included,the manners of formation,and the monosyllabic elements being free or bound morphemes.Semantically,many of the constructions can be construed metonymically or metaphorically.
