在“动态对等”翻译理论指导下探析四个《简·爱》译本中的翻译策略

摘　　要：《简·爱》是英国女作家夏洛特·勃朗特于1847年发表的一部极具自传色彩、脍炙人口、久负盛名的长篇小说。作为一部影响力巨大的英语小说,其中文译本层出不穷。《简·爱》最负盛名的译者包括祝庆英、黄源深、宋兆霖、吴钧燮,他们的译本广受读者好评,但在译本中均存有少量误译的情况。文章在动态对等翻译理论指导下探析四位译者翻译部分俚语、短语、词汇时采用的翻译策略,通过对比分析四位译者的译文,结合小说故事情节分析译文的翻译策略,并借助两大权威英语词典提供的英语解释阐释译本中部分翻译为何为错译,并探析出现错译的原因:一,人云亦云。四位译者出现雷同的误译应是不假思索地引用别人现成的译文造成;二,翻译技术的局限。随着互联网时代的到来,现代的译员可以借助国内外各大网站(词典网站、学术网站、学术论坛)找到某个词或短语的解释,但20世纪的译员局限于封闭的翻译环境,错失了互联网带给学术的良好前景。Being exceedingly autobiographical,engaging and popular,Jane Eyre is a novel published in 1847 by the British female writer Charlotte Bronte.As an influential English novel,its Chinese translations are numerous and various.Its most prestigious translators include Zhu Qingying,Huang Yuanshen,Song Zhaolin,and Wu Junxie whose translations are well-received by Chinese readers.However,there are few mistranslations in their translations.Guided by Dynamic Equivalence and combined with the analysis of its detailed plots,this thesis,with the help of two authoritative dictionaries,analyzes the translation strategies adopted by the four translators when they translated some idioms,phrases and vocabularies,explains why some translations in the translated versions are mistranslations,and reaches the two conclusions:one,following the crowd.They blindly quoted others’translation without considering whether it was right or wrong,which explains why they repeated the same mistranslations;two,the limitation of translation technology.With the development of internet,modern translators can rely on countless websites at home and abroad,such as online dictionaries,academic conferences,forums to find out the precise definition of words,but translators in the last century were limited to a closed translation environment and missed the good prospects for academics Internet brings.
