摘　　要：对莫泊桑《项链》的主题有多种不同理解,有些甚至截然相反。作品本身确实蕴含了多样理解的基础,但从《项链》与《包法利夫人》的互文关系中,能清晰看到莫泊桑沿着福楼拜的方向,毋庸置疑地批判了虚荣,更重要的是通过玛蒂尔德指出了避免时代性庸俗的根本出路,那就是通过劳动和付出面对自己真实的人生。The theme of Maupassant′ s The Necklace has been interpreted in many different ways, some even in opposite directions.The work itself does contain the basis of diverse understanding, but it is certain that Maupassant criticized vanity along the direction of Flaubert through the intertextuality relations between The Necklace and Madame Bovary, and more important is through the heroin Mathilde Maupassant pointed out the fundamental way to avoid times vulgar, that is facing real life by labor and responsibility.
