荀子“不夭其生,不绝其长”的生态意蕴

摘　　要：荀子讲“不夭其生,不绝其长”,它所在的这段话蕴含了丰富的生态智慧。这段话体现了保护生物、尊重自然的生态可持续理念,当前生态危机出现的主要原因就是现代社会过度进行生态开发利用,阻碍了生态系统正常发展和运行,使生态系统无法发挥其完整的功能。这段话反映了人与生态之间的深层生态伦理,人与生态是一个整体,随着人对生态认识和把握的不断深入,从而对生态系统内“草木”“鼋鼍”等全体成员视如己出。保护生态不代表拒斥人类开发和利用自然资源。我们既要防范对生态过度保护,也要防止对生态无度化开发;我们需要秉持荀子“以时禁发”的适时适度生态开发理念。只有这样,才能实现人与生态的和谐共生。Xunzi said,“Not to cut short their life,and not to break off their growth”,which contains rich ecological wisdom.This paragraph reflects the concept of ecological sustainability with protect to creatures and respect to nature.The main reason for the current ecological crisis is that modern society overuses ecological development and utilization,which hinders the normal growth and continuation of the ecosystem and makes it unable to play its complete function.This statement reflects the deep ecological ethics between man and ecology,man and ecology are an integral whole,with the deepening of understanding and understanding of ecology,man will regard all members of“vegetation”“tortoise”and so on as his own.Protecting ecology does not mean rejecting human's development and utilization of natural resources,we should not only prevent excessive protection of ecology,but also prevent excessive development of ecology,we need to learn Xunzi’s idea of“Prohibit collecting or open up at the appropriate times”,which is timely and moderate ecological development,only in this way can we realize the harmonious coexistence between human and ecology.
