摘 要:习语是人类智慧文化的结晶,汉语习语来源于历史事件或故事,反映了汉民族与客观世界的互动体验。习语表现出的语言文化个性导致英译困难。汉语习语中的“路”承载着汉语人的观念和文化,融合了多个图式,在人类心智中形成一种特殊空间。该文基于对含“路”汉语习语的识解,从事件图式下分析习语的凸显机制、语篇隐喻、情感认同。该文提出图式还原与构式凸显、隐喻与情感认同的英译策略,以期有效地开展跨文化研究,进行中华文化外译。Idioms are condensed representations of human wisdom and culture and thus have their origins in them.Chinese idioms allude to historical events or stories, reflecting the interactive experience between the Chinese nation and the objective world. The linguistic and cultural characteristics of idioms lead to difficulties in their English translation. The “Road” in Chinese idioms carries the concept and culture of Chinese people, integrates multiple schemata,and forms a special space in human mind. Based on the interpretation of Chinese idioms containing “Road”, this paper analyzes the salience mechanism, discourse metaphor and emotional identification of idioms from the perspective of event schema. It proposes several strategies for translating Chinese idioms into English, i.e. schema reduction and constructional salience, metaphor and emotional identification. This paper provides implications for the effective cross-cultural research and translating Chinese culture.
