摘 要:作为图书的眼睛,书名在内容概括、推广宣传等方面发挥着重要作用。在国际交流日益频繁的当下,如何对引进版图书书名进行翻译值得深入研究。以近些年引进并畅销的人工智能社科类图书为来源,对其书名的翻译现状进行梳理,发现“创造性”翻译占主导的趋势会带来翻译伦理的违背和文题信息的错位等问题。这种现象的背后成因既有客观层面上语言间的转换障碍,也有主观层面上经济利益的考量。书名翻译应从命名方式、翻译原则和排版方式三重角度出发,在“忠实”和“创造”间寻求平衡。As the eye of a book, the title plays an important role in content generalization, promotion and publicity.With the increasing international exchanges, how to translate the titles of the imported books is worthy of our in-depth study. Based on the popular artificial intelligence social science books introduced in recent years, this paper reviews the current situation of title translation. It is found that the trend of “creative” translation leads to the violation of translation ethics and the dislocation of title information. The reason behind this phenomenon is not only the conversion barrier between languages at the objective level, but also the consideration of economic interests at the subjective level. This paper proposes that the balance between faithfulness and creativity should be sought from the perspectives of naming,translation principles and typesetting.
