摘 要:大学公共英语教学脱离学生实际,教学效果不够理想,因此需要进行相应教学改革。当前各种教学改革实践实质上有向ESP(特殊用途英语)转型的倾向,这导致大学公共英语教师角色困惑和能力焦虑感。坚持大学公共英语“公共性”定位是大学公共英语教师职业发展的前提,为教师的职业发展提供方向指引。高校要按照功能重组大学公共英语教学部门,引导大学公共英语教师加强综合英语学习,增加特殊用途英语教学能力,在文化自信的指导下提升跨文化交际能力。此外,高校还要持续加强大学公共英语教师职业实践,让其成为既能教书育人,又能从事一线英语跨文化交际和翻译的双师型人才,为大学公共英语教学改革提供重要的能力支撑。College English teaching is divorced from the reality of students, and the effect is not obvious enough,so it is necessary to carry out teaching reform accordingly. The current teaching reform practice has a tendency to transform to ESP( English for Specific Purposes), which leads to the role confusion and ability anxiety of college public English teachers. Adhering to the orientation of ″publicity″of college English provides direction guidance for teachers′career development, which is also the prerequisite for the professional development of college English teachers. We should reorganize college English teaching departments according to their functions, guide college English teachers to strengthen comprehensive English learning, increase specialized English teaching ability, and enhance cross-cultural communication ability under the guidance of cultural self-confidence. In addition, we should continue to strengthen the professional practice of college public English teachers, so that they can become double-qualified talents who can not only impart knowledge and educate students, but also engage in English cross-cultural communication and translation, so as to provide important talent support for the reform of college public English teaching.
