摘 要:凡企业必有使命词,企业使命词对内激励员工,对外传递精神,也是宣传口号。浏览中国100强企业的官网后发现,使命词的汉英翻译尚存在诸多问题,主要集中在语法不正确、结构不对等、语义不准确、译名不统一四方面。文章列举大量实例,对比原文与译文内涵,逐一分析译文的不当之处,对接词典释义提出改译版本。Each enterprise has its mission statement,which motivates employees internally and spreads the spirit externally,and also serves as a propaganda slogan.After browsing the official websites of China's top 100 enterprises,it is found that the C-E translation of mission statements mainly has the following four problems:grammatical errors,structural inequivalence,semantic inaccuracy and inconsistent translated terms.The article cites abundant examples and compares the connotation of the source text and the translated version one by one,finally proposing a modified version by virtue of dictionary,which is aimed to make a contribution to the effective communication of Chinese enterprises to the outside world.
