摘 要:在中国现行的美学学科框架内,中国美学史可能是最让人无法以个人之力穷极的领域。这一方面是由于中国传统美学资源本身的体量庞大和浩瀚,另一方面则由于现有美学理论和时代精神均对它缺乏持续性的约束力。但是,这种理论和时代的“双失”却是中国美学史研究不断开出新境的必要条件。就美学理论与美学史的交互关系看,中国美学史既接受理论给予的限定,又以本土经验重建学术视域,并通向美的普遍历史;就美学与时代精神的关联看,这一领域既映显现实,又表现出种种偏至,但这种偏至正预示了美学史研究的全新可能。可以认为,在现代学术视域内,美学学科无论是它理论的弹性、思维方式的一般性,还是研究对象的无限广延,均意味着它是对人和世界普遍存在性状的描述,并不仅限于一种专门的知识。由这种理论和学科性质建构的历史,则必然是一种看待世界的普遍视野。于此,一切历史都是美学史。Within the framework of of current aesthetic discipline in China,the history of Chinese aesthetics may be too vast a field for any individual researcher to cover.For one thing,the tradition is so rich as to have a huge volume of Chinese traditional aesthetic resources;for the other,there is no sustainable containment with existant aesthetic theories and the spirit of times.However,the disadvantages are a necessary condition for the continuous opening of a new realm in the study of the history of Chinese aesthetics.In terms of the interactive relationship between aesthetic theories of one kind and another,Chinese aesthetic history not only accepts the limitations set by theories,but also reconstructs the academic horizon with local experience,leading to the universal history of beauty;In terms of the relationship between aesthetics and the spirit of the times,this field not only reflects reality,but also shows a variety of biases,which bode well for the new possibility of the study of the history of aesthetics.It can be considered that in the perspective of modern academia,aesthetics,with its theoretical flexibility,the generality of its way of thinking,or the infinite extension of its research objects,means that it is a description of the universal characteristics of people and the world,and is not limited to a kind of specialized knowledge.The history,constructed with this theory and disciplinary nature,must be a universal vision of the world.Therefore,any history is but the history of aesthetics.
